Clarence Williams is a former staff photographer at the Los Angeles Times, where he won the 1998 Pulitzer Prize in feature photography. In 2005, after surviving Hurricane Katrina, he received a Soros Journalism Grant and joined the faculty of the University of Southern Mississippi, where he taught for nine years. A founding member of the IRIS photo collective, he is now director of communications for New Orleans City Councilman-at-Large Jason Williams.
