What’s a typical day for Gourmet editor Ruth Reichl? She saw a falcon eating a pigeon on a ledge across from her office, and twittered about it. Then, she tasted some squid soup, and twittered about it.
The former restaurant critic of The New York Times, by way of the Los Angeles Times, spoke at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism on February 26, about her online efforts to grow the one-year-old site of the magazine and building a community online. Her twittering is part of the effort to increase interest in the site.
