Paper: The State
Columnist: Editorial
Focus: Absence
Our collective heart goes out to the governor, Mrs. Sanford and their boys as they endure this most difficult time. They deserve the opportunity to work through this situation outside the public spotlight. But as much as they deserve to be able to deal with their personal issues in private, Mark Sanford, as governor, has to answer for his actions as the state’s elected chief executive. Yes, he deserves a private life, but those who choose to serve in elected office are held to a higher standard, and even their personal matters are thrust into the public square, particularly when they affect public policy or governance.

I think you mean absence won over SEX. This isn't about race.

Looks like the field of Republican candidates for 2012 is dwindling. Too bad - I did like him. high blood sugar

The sense of protectionism in most of these commentaries is appalling. Sanford is a two-faced moralizer who cheated repeatedly on his wife, spent public funds to meet his mistress, and left the state without a leader for days. He is a seriously unstable individual who can't be trusted. Yet SC's media finest ooze with sympathy. As someone who lived in the state while Bill Clinton was be savaged by the media, the double stadard is gleaming.

The Republican party needs to just go find some new team players that don't have any baggage. Maybe they need to start over with some graduate students. video clip of diane lane in unfaithful
