For the sixth day in a row, The Associated Press has written about the duration of President Bush’s service in the Texas Air National Guard. And for the sixth day in a row, AP has gotten it wrong.
Number six came early this morning when AP released a “Q&A About Bush Service in National Guard.”
And, once again, the wire service stated that the President was released from his six-year tour of duty six months early.
In fact, as we have noted a number of times now, according to the best official documentation available, President Bush served five years, four months, and five days. Which in turn means he was released from his obligation seven months and twenty-five days, or approximately eight months, early.
