BW says this:
Nine months later, the consequences of that decision still reverberate. Though none gathered at Murdoch’s home that evening could have foreseen the slew of allegations, arrests, and public outrage that loomed, by sticking with London’s effort to quarantine the scandal, Brooks and James Murdoch were, in particular, suspected of a coverup.
“Quarantine” is a nice and neutral word for cover up, which is what was happening here.
Great work by Farrell and BusinessWeek.

A lot of inference from a seating chart and some comments from unidentified sources but, unfortuntely, hardly evidence that would stand up in court.

And out come the Chittum 5000 Black Helicopters in Full Whisper Mode!...
Damn!...
A seating chart AND anonymous comments?
What else does a story need?

Well, the specialists say the gathering pace of heads rolling had turned up the heat on Cameron and Murdoch over their handling of the scandal, with the media tycoon due to be questioned by parliament in a possible showdown on Tuesday. At that time, 4,000 phones were hacked up, including that of murdered 13-year-old Milly Dowler, sparking a furor that forced Murdoch to close the paper and drop a $12 billion plan to buy all of highly profitable broadcaster BSkyB. Guess, even payday cash advance would not help Murdoch here. I wonder if there is anything else of this kind going on in London?
