Sorry, Neither day or evening garments flattered Michelle nor made her look comfortable. Both broke the rule of dressing women in public: they shouldn't be conscious of the clothes. The coat, flapping in the breeze, the skirt too right across the hips and the white dress: too long, too "hangy", always in the way of dance steps and that one strap? Not a pretty line for her body type. She needs clothes advice and a good fitter.

Dearest First Lady, Do not pay one little bit of attention to negative comments. I think you were smashing. How many people could carry off that color. None.
The evening ball gown is another story. I truly believe your designer had a theme in mind. Your dress was MAGIC. He made you look like a princess,
all in white. You complimented your PRINCE with grace and new hopes and visions of what is yet to come. You could wear a burlap feedbag and look better than 99 percent of women. Don't forget to have a lot of Love and Laughs on your journey. Jacque in Durham.thom
