They say shopping carts (and contents therein) are the way into a reader’s soul. (Don’t they?) Well, the New York Post has done the very conceivable and discovered the number one item on Ruth Madoff’s shopping list:
Photographers spotted Ruth, whose nearly $93 million in assets have come under government scrutiny, dropping American and Jarlsberg cheese into her cart. She was carrying a shopping list, with detergent the top item.
Har! Requisite “coming clean” joke! (No seriously, it’s the lead.) Is it official? Can we grow this what’s-in-YOUR-shopping-cart beat? It’s not like we have serious things to talk about. (Next up: Ruth goes dumpster diving.)
