The chatter about the potential political consequences of our president’s “overexposure” is mostly pointless, but still—the media’s appetite for Obama-related stories is remarkable. The latest evidence: not only did Rolling Stone’s picture of a grinning Obama win top honors in the American Society of Magazine Editors cover contest (voting was done by Amazon.com customers), but ASME created a whole separate category this year just for Obama-themed covers.
Given that fact, it’s got to be a mild surprise that this wasn’t at least nominated in the “sexiest cover” category.
