Yesterday, Megan offered some suggestions for reporters for how to cover the McCain campaign’s recent cries of socialism, including: “add a brief note of clarification next to a McCain campaign claim about Obama’s socialism…ideally, in your story’s lede.” The AP, which started down this path yesterday, seems to be getting the hang of it:

Well you know with the tide most definitely turned in Obama's favour I'd suggest that this is a case of the media, that for the last 7 years has been decidedly right wing pretty much across the board, suddenly realizing they maybe need to play fair with Obama if they want reliable access to the WH Press room come January 20th. IOW self preservation.
