Looks like celeb journalism is another thing Avril Lavigne doesn’t like to be comp-li-ca-ted. After her concert in Atlantic City on Saturday, the pop star told the New York Daily News that she’d like to start her own gossip magazine…a scandal-free one, that is.
“I would make it completely positive,” she said. “There’s so much negativity right now. I’d pick up the big stories, but they’d have to be positive.”
Since US Weekly’s legions of devotees totally read the mag to learn about Britney’s charity work, Avril’s formula should be a huge success.

If you're arguing that it would probably not compete well at the newsstand, I think you're right.
But if she were to start an online magazine providing breaking news, photos, fashion and make-up tips, etc., directly from celebrities (or, perhaps more realistically, their agents and proxies), I think it could get a lot of traffic.
