Fox News’ s “Live Desk” this afternoon is taking viewers on a “behind-the-scenes tour” of the Fox News operation (“How we do what we do,” per anchor Trace Gallagher ) kicking it off with a look around Fox News’ “nerve center” (“which is the news room,” Gallagher adds). There’s the national desk (we see a group of three or four people at computer screens) and the foreign desk (a smaller group of people at computer screens). And Gallagher’s co-host Martha MacCallum manages to avoid sounding at all threatening when she announces, “We’re going to be popping in on people, and looking and asking them what they’re doing and what they’re working on…”
