Here’s a pretty astounding “debate” between Fox Business host Stuart Varney and Robert Frank, an economist who had the temerity to point out the no-duh proposition that hard work and intelligence, without some luck, are unlikely to bring great success.

Among other thought crimes noted by Varney, Frank nurtured his ideas in the “socialist environment” of Cornell and published them on the “socialist” pages of The New York Times. You see, Brit-born Varney, who came to America with “absolutely nothing“–save, per his official bio, a degree from the London School of Economic–is deeply offended.
