So many government agencies; so little press coverage. Who’s watching the Department of Agriculture? The Administration on Aging? The Bureau of Engraving and Printing?
MSNBC’s morning news show, The Daily Rundown, that’s who! From Chuck Todd this morning:
It’s a big week here at The Daily Rundown, a world exclusive. We’re dropping the “White House Soup of the Day” to bring you a special series. It’s a soup tour of the federal government. Today’s offering comes from the State Department, where they’re serving beef vegetable today…Another exciting federal agency tomorrow. We’re not going to let you in on where we’re going next with this but it won’t be the White House…
Yup, rather than reporting what soup is being served at the White House each day as usual (last week’s soups du jour included, in case you missed it, Navy Bean, El Paso Chicken, French Onion, and New England Clam Chowder) MSNBC this week will shine some light on what’s cooking (but, only literally) at assorted government agencies.

This is the story of every department. Red tapeism is everywhere in govt. institutions whether it is agriculture department or defense.
