Black and White and Red All Over

The Wall Street Journal has a nifty–in the sense of stylin’–map graphic quantifying the ramping-up of newspaper “adverse events” coast to coast. (Such events include layoffs, being put up for sale, bankruptcy, and, yes, shutting down the presses.)

CJR’s own running tally suggests that 12,000 journalists have be laid off since January 2007.
