Last night MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann, to his own visible satisfaction, added to last week’s colorful characterizations of Camp Clinton on MSNBC:

OLBERMANN: I have often wondered if we have not seen a Democratic primary that rather resembles one of those hose Wile E. Coyote/Road Runner cartoons. In the sense that Senator Clinton has stayed in this race even though it is believed statistically she doesn’t exist anymore. That it’s the cloud of dust that follows the Road Runner off the end of the butte and the coyote follows him into that space and continues to remain in midair without any visible means of support…

Surely Olbermann well knows that, as Howard Kurtz put it yesterday, “The Sisters Are Steamed.” So implying — or even seeming to imply — that Clinton’s supporters are invisible could be playing with fire (or “steam,” at least)!

Moreover, the two Democratic candidates have already been cast by Jeff Greenfield as those other Looney Tunes characters: Daffy Duck (Clinton) and Bugs Bunny (Obama).
