Following the new president’s speech about unity and overcoming our differences and setting “aside childish things”…Matt Drudge prioritized the morning’s news in this way:

Yes, as in: the headline that first catches the eye on the current loading of The Drudge Report has nothing to do with Obama’s speech or the crowds that witnessed it or the history that’s just been made. It reads, rather, “OBAMA FLUBS THE OATH.” Classy.
Update: Drudge has now amended the initial “Obama flubs oath” headline to reflect the fact (sorta) that it was Chief Justice Roberts who initially misstated the pledge. It now reads, “OBAMA & CHIEF JUSTICE FLUB OATH OF OFFICE.”

Of course Drudge would completely ignore the fact that it was actually Chief Justice Roberts who flubbed the oath.

That’s it Meggan, just as you shilled for candidate Obama and then President Elect Obama, attacking anyone who dared speak a little truth about our newly coronated god king, you continue the fine legacy of journalistic advocacy that has made the press such a popular and well respected institution in this country.
Bravo!

Except it's *not* a little truth. It's, actually, the opposite of truth. Obama didn't fuck it up, Roberts did.

And considering the target rich environment of journalists and pundits nearly falling over each other to see who can suck the New Boy King off the best, why set your sights on Drudge, who quickly corrected his mistake?
Woe to those who would dare take the edge off this sugary sweet high that the Obamatrons are currently in.
And Katie, if you sat in the same seat during the entire inauguration, I would have it shampooed to get that wet spot you left out of it.

Wow, homophobia and misogyny in the space of three sentences, with graphic descriptions of each. No psycho-sexual problems for you Philip, clearly.
On the point, the issue isn't whether Obama and Roberts made a human mistake or not, but whether that was the most important event of the day. Even if Obama is a socialist-muslim-fascist Kenyan-Indonesian fraud who cheated the primary (or whatever your objection to him is), is one word said at the wrong place in a sentence at the top of anyone's list of news items? In their top ten?
If that's the best the likes of Drudge can come up with, they're going to have hard work over the next eight years.

And here I thought the BIG story was the lack of port-a-potties (only 5,000) and the 180 million dollar price tag for the event. It does not surprise me that Mattie Drudge would make such statements as he has been hammering on every little bit of negative nonsense there is regarding President Obama. Now that the "off limits" presidency ofJr Bush is over, it's open season on Obama.
Maybe tomorrow Matt will report and President Obama has long ear-hairs. To which end The president will just laugh all this pettiness off and not respond. He has bigger fish to fry and one hell of allot more class.

I dont understand the vitrol against Drudge? He is dissenting from the mainstream ... I though that was the highest form of patriotism?

Publishing a blatant lie in the form of a headline is "the highest form of patriotism"?

The saddest thing about the past eight years is that many young people were introduced to "conservatism" by yet another liberal wolf in conservative sheep's clothing.
Tailgunner Joe was right- communists infiltrated this country during the thirties and have controlled "both" parties ever since.
When are you tools gonna wake up and realize that you've been handed a fixed game? Keep fighting the battle of the Republocrats v. the Demoplicans just like the Marxists planned for you.
