The 70th Annual Peabody Awards were announced on Thursday morning, and out of thirty-nine Peabody awards given, eighteen went to public media shows and outlets. A complete list of the winners is available here.
NPR won for four different investigations into subjects like the bail bond industry in the US and social issues in Pakistan. PBS won for an American Experience investigation into the My Lai massacre, a POV episode about Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers, a FRONTLINE documentary about the military health system, among many other programs. WNYC’s Radiolab, PRX’s The Moth Radio Hour, and American Public Media’s The Promised Land were also winners.

Sounds like they will survive just fine then without federal funding.

Don't you have a conspiracy to cover, Danny?
