Today’s StoryCorps segment featured former The Miami News managing editor Ed Pierce.

Pierce recalls what he considers his greatest achievement at the helm of the now-defunct paper. (It closed down in 1988.) When an already printed map was discovered to contain a dozen typos, Pierce announced a reader contest to spot the errors. Listen to the entire story here.
