Journalists take note: sometimes it takes a sense of humor as dark as only the British can muster to break a story. The Telegraph proved this yesterday with the headline, “Hamas Boy Band to Bring Harmony to Gaza.”
You heard it right, Hamas has started its own inspirational music group. The band was formed this summer by Hamas’s domestic security service, The Executive Force, which would have been a great name for the group had it not already been taken. Instead, the band was called “Protectors of the Homeland” and given equally subtle blue-camo jumpsuits to wear to performances. Check out the full article for the details and a truly memorable photo. Let’s just hope for their sake they never cross tour dates with Toby Keith.
