Last week, I wrote about Karaoke in the Capitol, the Spectacular Spectacular which promised to be—in addition to ‘glad-handing power orgy,’ ‘awkward display coming from self-proclaimed public servants,’ ‘probable sign of apocalypse,’ etc., etc.—a rousing, rollicking, and generally root-tootin’ good time.
Well. The event has now come and gone, abandoning itself to the vagaries of time, as all such fugitive pleasures finally must…leaving as evidence of fellowship and fleeting mirth only the following frail memento:
