Some Spice in the Pundit Pool

July 15, 2010

Yesterday, George Stephanopoulos’s offerings on Good Morning America looked, sounded, and smelled a lot like his offerings on This Week or any of the Sunday shows: to discuss a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, Stephanopoulos hosted “dueling strategists– James Carville and Nicole Wallace– [to] debate it out.” Not so fresh.

This morning, on the question of how President Obama might win back some of his female support (the WaPo/ABC News poll showed that Obama’s approval rating “dipp[ed] under 50 percent for the first time among white college-educated women”), Stephanopoulos reached beyond the usual zestless pundit pool and tapped into the political expertise of… Old Spice Guy (a newsmaker, no doubt).

Have a look. I’d say Old Spice Guy’s input is at least as useful as Carville’s and Wallace’s. (Take note, Amanpour.)
