Late last month, Real Clear Politics published a package entitled “Top 10 Newspapers in Trouble,” a list of the ten newspapers that are (most desperately) struggling for survival. The list included, among others, the Rocky Mountain News (R.I.P)–as well as the New York Daily News, the Philadelphia Daily News, the Miami Herald, the Chicago Sun-Times, and the San Francisco Chronicle.
Yes. Well. Today, Time magazine came out with its own Endangered list (in which, somewhat remarkably, the magazine groups going online-only with dying completely). Among the ten dailies Time is pre-mourning are…the New York Daily News, the Philadelphia Daily News, the Miami Herald, the Chicago Sun-Times, and the San Francisco Chronicle.
