The new season of “Dancing With The Stars … and Tom DeLay” premieres tonight at 8 p.m. and we at CJR will be watching with beers in hand to see if the “conservative firebrand” can transform the term “Majority Whip’ from a job description into a new dance move.
Watch “The Hammer,” as the ex-politician is nicknamed, smash a floating orb-thing in the teaser video below:
And watch him in the studio doing jazz hands with his professional dance partner, Cheryl Burke, who already seems to be getting annoyed with her pupil.

A few weeks ago on this very site, CJR excoriated Ben Stein for playing an outside interest that would interfere with his job in the media.
I ask all the editors at CJR, where is that scrutiney for Mr. Navsky for taking the 2009 Nation cruise (and other subsequent and future ones)?
Doesn't his bias affect what stories and articles get published here? If not, he is still doing something you accused a writer from the WSJ is doing.
An answer by Mr. Navsky or the editors would be good at this time of CJR scrutiny.

I'll even offer a correction:
Ben Stein was one of 2 Conservative opinion comnists when CJR went after him.
After Ben Stein left, there is only one.
How many articles on CJR go after Frank Rich?
And will the Editors hold Mr. navsky to the same standards to Ben Stein?
Tune into the next epsidoe of..CJR -- Left leaning or media watcher of all the press?

Uh, the presence of this snarky item in a 'journalism review' is justified by what exactly?
Do conventional New York media types really not understand about themselves how predictable they are - and how this is related to the loss of trust and influence in the mainstream media? The news is more than the cultural prejudices of urban pseuds.

I believe that it falls under the “2 minutes of hate” guideline that Navasky has mandated.
