“Too vital to ignore,” perhaps?

April 8, 2010

Forget about Confederate history–it’s STD awareness month! And fittingly, here’s an excerpt from a press release that just landed in my inbox flacking a campaign by Planned Parenthood of New York City to encourage testing:

Please let me know if you’d be interested in doing a story on the importance of getting tested for STDs. With approximately 60,000 new cases reported each year, this is one issue that’s too burning to ignore.

Indeed! From what I’ve heard, sometimes that burning feeling is just too much to ignore.

(Though at that point, it’s probably time for treatment, not testing.)
