I’m at the TimesOPEN conference today at The New York Times. In some ways, it suggests the general fusion of new and old media: a software conference hosted by the Gray Lady.
The broad focus so far has been on community-building, and on news organizations’ need to foster it on their Web sites. For more detail, you can follow my tweets here (@megangarber), but if you’re interested in the conference, I highly recommend following the general #timesopen feed, here.
Update: My longer take on the conference is here.
