From 1957 to 1960, Mike Wallace hosted his first nationally televised program, The Mike Wallace Interview. Subjects included Eleanor Roosevelt, Rod Serling, Malcolm X, Ayn Rand, and Margaret Sanger. Wallace donated 65 of the interviews, in the form of 16 mm kinescopes, to the Ransom Center at the University of Texas, which has digitized most of the recordings.
