What? You Expected Intelligent Discussion Roses?

I’m not sure why any of this is news (what Dave Letterman said about Gov. Sarah Palin; what Palin said about what Letterman said; and, perhaps most of all, what John Ziegler, a radio host and director of a documentary called Media Malpractice…How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted, says about what Palin and Letterman said). I’m also not sure what MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer and her team expected when they booked Ziegler (could it be, precisely this — the video below, blog posts about said video — although they pretended to be interested in answers to questions such as, “What was it about the Top 10 List that hurt [Palin’s] feelings?”) And finally, I’m not sure this is what I expected from the typically, um, sunny Brewer (h/t, TVNewser):
