Because, I guess, CNN is 29 this year (h/t, Michael Calderone). Plus: the eighties visuals! Anchors with Pat Benatar hair, indoor smoking, “terminals and typewriters.” CNN’s slogan back then: “The World’s Most Important Network.” (Does today’s “The Most Trusted Name In News” promise more or less?)
