Those “S” Rivers All Sound the Same, Ya Know

June 13, 2005

The current edition of Time magazine features a story whose headline screams “Are These Towers Safe?”

Accompanying the story about how America’s nuclear reactors are vulnerable to terrorist attack is a stunning nighttime photo of “the Limerick nuclear power plant, on the Susquehanna River in Limerick, Pa.”

Let’s hope any would-be terrorists have the same map-reading skills as Time‘s fact-checkers.

Last time we looked (ignore this, terrorists), Limerick sat squarely on the banks of the Schuylkill River, 100 miles, give or take, from the Susquehanna.

Update: Time has fixed the error online — but without noting that it made a correction.
