I was about to type up a post observing that according to US News & World Report‘s “Washington Whispers,” Chris Matthews may have decided not to run for Senate because he could not answer his friend’s question of what he would actually do as senator until I was distracted by a poll US News is — swear to God — conducting on its web site asking readers:
If you had a choice of four daycare centers run separately by Michelle Obama, Sarah Palin, Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi, which would you choose for your kids?
(FYI: Palin leads with 61 percent of the vote; Clinton’s running fourth with just under 2 percent.)
