If Bill Clinton were on a “private mission” in North Korea meeting with Kim Jong-il to discuss the release of Current TV reporters Laura Ling and Euna Lee who have been detained since March and were recently sentenced to a dozen years in a labor camp: WWJJD?
Attempt a joke, apparently, on Twitter. Tweets Jeff Jarvis just now:
Well, Hillary finally got her revenge. North fucking Korea? No poontang in Pyongyang. But they do have Cuban cigars.
I suppose if one decides, as a “blogger and j school prof,” that now’s the time for a Mad Hillary/Bad Bill cigar crack, Twitter is the place to do it (maybe there are no lines to cross on Twitter, particularly when you don’t work for — well, not every day, anyway — “legacy media”)?
Meanwhile, some background on why else (apart from spousal revenge) Bill-Clinton-in-North-Korea might make sense. And, some background on the two jailed journalists.
