Last week David Schultz, a reporter for Washington DC public radio station WAMU, had his audio recorder seized by Veterans Affairs officials while recording an interview with an audience member in a hallway outside a public forum.
Under outcry, the VA backed down and agreed to return Shultz’s audio, and today WAMU aired a story including the tense audio leading up to the confiscation. You can listen to the report at WAMU’s site, or at Think Progress, which also has a helpful transcript.
