A bit late to this party (Blagojevich started 40 minutes ago), but I don't think I missed very much. Right now, Blago is railing against Illinois governor Pat Quinn and prominent politicos Mike Madigan and John Cullerton, who, he says, will raise your taxes and throw you out of office unjustifiably, if you are caught on tape trying to sell a U.S. Senate seat. People of Illinois, you have been warned.

Rod's really taking to the medium; he sounds like a pro as he throws it to "the latest traffic and weather with Wendy Snyder. It's 8:44 on the big 89, WLS!

The gov takes a call from Fred -- a Republican -- from McHenry County.

Fred: I proudly voted against you three times.

Rod: Yeah, thanks a lot. Appreciate it.

Fred: But I tell you what... You were railroaded!

Rod: [Goes on for like three minutes about how average people (like Fred) need to get involved in politics and stand up to cynical politicians (like the evil Pat Quinn).]

Oh, whoops. He's ending now. He reads an e-mail from Don Wade, the usual host during this timeslot, saying that "This could have been the most interesting two hours in Chicago radio history." Interesting, self-serving... two sides of the same coin.

Maybe he'll do this again, and we won't start ninety minutes late.

Wow. Apparently Blagojevich had, as a guest, the actor who is portraying him in the latest Second City comedic revue, "Rod Blagojevich Superstar."

Rod: "A few weeks ago I was governor of Illinois, and now I'm here, sitting in the seat that Don Wade sits in. You could say that I've reached higher office."

There is somehing profoundly sad about that statement, and about the fact that WLS-AM is now using it as a promo sound bite.

Traffic lady: I wonder if he had a mullet. Back in the day.

Both: Ha ha ha!

Traffic lady (suddenly serious): There are reports that somebody has jumped off of Marina Towers.

Oh. OK!

Mancow: Who? What's his name?

Caller to "Mancow in the Morning": Blavoyevich.

Mancow: It's Blagojevich.

Caller to "Mancow in the Morning": Wait, what?
