Megan recently explored the trouble with Andrea Mitchell reporting, as she does sometimes on MSNBC, on the current financial crisis (a take that NBC News’s Steve Capus yesterday told The New York Times was “overly simplistic.”)
Speaking of, Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren today offers a simple solution to all this, blogging that she sees no problem “as long as [Mitchell] periodically reminds the audience to whom she is married.”
What might that look like?
Good day. I’m Andrea Mitchell. Disclosure: Had my spouse “acted differently during his tenure as Federal Reserve chairman from 1987 to 2006, many economists say, the current crisis might have been averted or muted.”
Today, in crisis news….
Before I turn to NBC News’s Washington correspondent, John Yang, for more on the financial crisis, let me remind him and everyone that my husband was chairman of the Fed for a long time until just a couple of years ago. Now then, John, what was that you were going to say?
