Happy birthday to Ray Suarez, one of the best known faces and voices of American public media in the last three decades. Suarez is currently a senior correspondent and co-anchor of PBS’s The NewsHour. Before joining that program, Suarez hosted NPR’s national call-in show, Talk of the Nation, from 1993-1999. He’s also the host of America Abroad, a monthly documentary radio show produced by Public Radio International.
