John Darnton is a Pulitzer Prizeāwinning journalist and a best-selling novelist. He
has worked for the New York Times for over forty years as a reporter, editor, and foreign correspondent. He was based in Nigeria, Kenya, Poland, Spain, and the United Kingdom and served as deputy foreign editor, metropolitan editor, news editor for weekends, and culture editor. He has written six novels and a memoir. He is the curator of the George Polk Awards in journalism.
