Campaign Desk stumbled across this passage while reading a Fox News Channel web update on Bush’s recent decision to answer all questions posed to him by the Sept. 11th panel:

“The panel has not blamed anyone beyond midlevel officials in federal agencies, and the administration would like to make sure that it doesn’t start now.”

Obviously it would be in the administration’s best interest if the panel continued to place blame on midlevel officials rather than high-ranking administration officials. But, lacking evidence of foul play with the clear intent to avoid blame, it seems a stretch to suggest that the administration is actively infiltrating the process to “make sure” that only functionaries are sacrificed to the investigative furnaces.

Yep, you heard it here first. We’ve detected a Fox News liberal bias.
