Putting Faces to the Dead and Detained in Iran

The Guardian online is trying to “put a face to each of the hundreds — possibly thousands– killed or arrested since the Iranian election,” as identified by news reports and human rights groups, and is asking readers to contribute information to its online database. One such face:

Jila Baniyaghoob, a 38-year-old award-winning journalist arrested along with her husband on June 20 at their home, according to Reporters Without Borders.
