Flashback: Super Tuesday 2008 (Vote-zilla!!!)

Today is Super Tuesday! Or, “‘pretty good’ Tuesday,” as MSNBC’s delegate math whiz Chuck Todd put it in a wistful walking-to-work tweet this morning.

A far cry from “Monster Super Tuesday,” which is but one of the “prepubescent male”-pleasing ways MSNBC hyped this day in the 2008 election cycle (when, yes, more states and delegates and campaigns were on the line). Today, MSNBC viewers get an understated red, white, and blue “Super Tuesday” logo—with star. Back then? The words “Monster Super Tuesday” literally exploded onto the screen (only to be swept away by Vote-zilla’s hulking, green tail). Recall:
