Kiran Nazish has spent two decades as a journalist and foreign correspondent covering Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Mexico, and many other places for the New York Times, LA Times, MSNBC, ABC News, and USA Today, among others. She is also the founder of the Coalition for Women in Journalism, a New York based press freedom and support organization closing the gender gap. The CFWIJ monitors state of press freedom in 145 countries.
